This sailing course is designed for anyone who wants to acquire basic knowledge and skills in sailing. It consists of practical exercises, including mooring in the marina and sailing, during which each participant has the opportunity to repeat the exercises several times until they gain complete confidence in their abilities. By the end of the course, you will have acquired basic knowledge of navigation, mooring, sailing, and safe navigation.

During the course, participants will acquire the following skills:

• Familiarization with sailboat equipment and how it works.
  A detailed review of the procedure for taking over a sailboat when renting from a charter company.

• Theory and practice of motor operation: you will learn to maneuver the boat using the motor and master the basics of navigation.
• Motorboat maneuvering and mooring: exercises include departure, maneuvering, side-by-side mooring, stern-to mooring, and side-by-side and buoy mooring in the marina.
• Basic use of equipment and sails: You will learn how to properly hoist and lower the sails and how to sail in various wind conditions.
• Tacking and Jibing Exercises
• Navigation and Safety: Explanation of instruments and controls, collision avoidance rules, proper anchoring, and knot tying using specific examples.
• Weather Conditions and Sailing: You’ll learn about different types of wind and their behavior, and use apps to forecast wind, tides, precipitation, etc.
